Robust funding is needed for preventing homelessness, reducing harm and creating shelter and safety for women who find themselves in this frightening situation.
Investing for Impact
- The Fund for Homeless Women is a Field of Interest Fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County that will continue to provide support for unsheltered women in need and work toward permanent solutions to homelessness.
- The Community Foundation is an officially registered non profit 501(c)(3) organization. All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Federal Tax Identification #94-1615897
- Fund for Homeless Women co-organizers are volunteers. They do not have salaries, staff or a fixed office. Materials and supplies are purchased through personal and targeted private funding. Consequently, 100% of every donation goes into the fund for (current or endowed) grant making.
- Contributions to the Fund for Homeless Women are leveraged with over a thousand other donors. Contributions to the endowment are invested with hundreds of others who leverage their generosity with thoughtfulness and compassion, creating change for women in need, while leaving a legacy for generations to come.
